Funeral services for Claudie SHOBE were held at 2 o´clock Friday afternoon at the ME Church. Mrs. Mae Kirkpatrick played the music for the service. Mrs. Blanche Menaut, Mrs. Ethel VanCleave, Rev JR Shaw and HH Gardiner sang, Asleep in Jesus, In the Garden and God Be With You Til We Meet Again. Rev. JE Fry, Christian pastor made the talk. Rev. AW Smith offered prayer and both were accompanied to the pulpit by Rev. John Lindsay, a relative of the deceased. The floral places were carried by two cousins, Clara Cotrell and Lavina Williams assisted by Virginia Dickerson, Alma White, Eleanor Allhands, Martha Eads, Mildred January Mildred Coon. The pall bearers were relatives, Bransford, Dee Williams, Virgil Willians and Howard Williams. Both rooms of the Church were occupied by large attendance. Burial was in ME Cemetery.
